Doing the right things versus doing things correctly is easy ... yet very difficult to define. There is an intrinsic belief in people being led that has to exist to be a good leader ... by believing in your people and yourself, you do what's best for the people first putting what is correct for the project second .. |

Actors ask themselves,"what's my motivation?" What's yours? Where do you get your motivation? What keeps you getting up in the morning and going to work and where do these factors rank? What happens when we as employees lose this motivation? Is it up to us alone to fill the reserves? Does the workplace have an obligation to step in? Can you choose your attitude? To what extent? Is employee motivation like employee mental health in that it's more a static personality factor than situationally determined, although situational factors can have an effect? Have you ever seen an employee go from highly motivated to phoning it in? What about the reverse? What were the circumstances? |
