A Six Sigma Green Belt is defined as an employee who is trained in a subset of Six Sigma tools or Six Sigma Green Belt Training that fills a Six Sigma role on a part-time basis. In addition to their normal duties, Green Belts spend a portion of their time assisting Black Belts with complex improvement projects or independently leading teams under the mentorship of a Black Belt. The goals of Six Sigma Green Belt Training include reducing defects using data driven, methodical, team driven approach to problem solving; reducing costs attributed to waste; improving customer satisfaction and achieving breakthrough improvement.
Six Sigma Green Belt Training trains Six Sigma Green Belt. The Six Sigma Green Belt serves as a specially trained team member within his or her function- specific area of the organization. This focus allows the Green Belt to work on small, carefully defined Six Sigma projects, requiring less than a Black Belt’s full-time commitment to Six Sigma throughout the business. Six Sigma Green Belt Training provides participants with enhanced problem-solving skills, with an emphasis on the DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control) model. The Green Belt has two primary tasks: first, to help successfully deploy Six Sigma techniques, and second, to lead small-scale improvement projects within their respective areas. Six Sigma Green Belt Training is for every level in an organization. All employees need Six Sigma Green Belt Training. Six Sigma Green Belt Training course is designed to enhance technical problem solving skills in line managers. Six Sigma Green Belt Training consists of three modules of classroom training, each followed by two-to three-week periods of “real world” application of newly acquired skills and knowledge. Innovative Six Sigma Green Belt training program combines traditional classroom-based teaching with multimedia instruction to provide participants and employers with an effective, convenient, and cost-efficient introduction to the Six Sigma methodology and tools. Using detailed training material, one-on-one correspondence, and internet applications, Green Belt candidates will be closely led through a well-structured, supervised series of study topics, discussions, exercises, and self-evaluation quizzes over a two-week period during Six Sigma Green Belt Training. This will prepare the participant for the three days of classroom training that follow, in which the qualitative Six Sigma tools will be reviewed and the statistical tools will be studied in-depth. This Six Sigma Green Belt Training plan gives each participant the flexibility to adjust his/her amount of study time on each topic to ensure a good understanding prior to moving to the next DMAIC phase or tool. This plan also results in more individual attention and a higher level of retention of the material than is typical with the traditional forty-hour weeks in a classroom setting. Six Sigma Green Belt Training prepares your company's project leaders and team members to implement Six Sigma in the workplace. The Six Sigma Green Belt Training program includes a process improvement project and a curriculum of classroom learning modules (48-64 hours), with follow-up team coaching. Your employees form a cross-functional team for their Six Sigma Green Belt Training. Each team is assigned to a selected Six Sigma project. The teams meet in 4-hour sessions that alternate with the classroom training to apply the skills learned in class to their business improvement project.
